Threaded Hearts exists to bring together women who enjoy Christian fellowship and the art of quilting and to make and give away quilts to comfort others. We furnish a yearly curriculum of six different quilt projects and ask participants to contribute to our pot luck lunches, help with set-up and take down and make a modest tuition payment each semester. We provide mats, rulers, and rotary cutters for the group’s use and some sewing machines are also available for rental. We also offer members the use of a large lending library. Women may choose to work on the featured quilts or a project of their own. However, from time to time we ask each woman to stop what she’s doing and contribute a block to our “love quilts,” those quilts we make to give away to someone celebrating or suffering at Compass.
